Nominate your Garden
We love looking at gardens and plants. If you
have a beautiful garden, plant or garden room in the Southern California no-frost zone, why not nominate
it for consideration for our publications and website?
Nomination is simple. Send us a photo of your
garden and tell us a little bit about it. Nominations may be sent by e-mail
or mail. They will be reviewed by our Garden Scout and used to compile rosters of
potential gardens in the different areas. There is no closing date as the rosters will be
continually updated, but gardeners in the San Clemente area are urged to send in their
nominations without delay as we are currently working in that area.
Guidelines:
- Include some basic information on your garden- its
age, type, size and location. Let us know why you like it and what makes it
special.
- Include a couple of clear photos that show its
best features.
- Include contact information for you and specify
your relationship to the garden. Are you the homeowner/gardener? Kids are welcome to nominate
their gardens but must include their age and parental consent with their nomination. Neighbors
may nominate a beautiful garden in their neighborhood, but should first obtain the consent of the
homeowner and include that in their submission. Professional gardeners and landscapers are also
welcome to nominate their projects, but must include homeowner/business owner consent in the
entry. (1)
- Include the name of the person who took
the photos. All photos are copyrighted to the photographer. If you are not the
photographer, you must include the photographer's consent to submit the photo as
submitting a nomination or
photos constitutes permission for No Frost Gardener to use the photographs and garden information.
(2)
- All submissions become the property of No Frost
Gardener and will not be returned. Please be sure to only send copies and do not send your
originals.
